Baghdad : A roadside bomb killed two US soldiers and wounded another two as well as three civilians in Iraq’s north-central Salaheddin province, the US military announced on Tuesday.
The bomb detonated “during operations” in the province on Monday, a military statement said without elaborating.
The civilians injured comprised two members of an “Awakening” anti-Qaeda front and an interpreter, it said.
The US military’s overall toll since the March 2003 invasion of Iraq now stands at 4,041, according to an AFP tally based on independent website www.icasualties.org.
