“The modus operandi suggests that it was the job of some henchmen who gunned down Raghubir Mittal and his nephew Pawan Mittal over some personal vendetta,” a senior investigating Delhi Police official said Tuesday.

“No arrests have been made so far. The matter is being probed from all angles,” he added.

Raghubir Mittal, 60, and his nephew, Pawan Mittal, 38, were killed and their driver Sanjeev, 30, injured when four-five car-borne assailants waylaid their car and fired at them near Kohat Enclave in Saraswati Vihar area late Monday.

The Mittals died of bullet injuries on way to hospital. The driver is out of danger.

On Monday, the police had ruled out robbery as a motive behind the killings as the assailants had left without touching a bag containing Rs.1 million kept inside the car.

The Mittals have a factory for manufacturing footwear in Bawana and were also into importing shoes from China.
