Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt : Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas are holding talks Sunday in the Red Sea resort of Sharm El-Sheikh ahead of a meeting of Palestinian factions in Egypt this week.
Abbas, who arrived in Egypt Saturday, will brief Mubarak about the outcome of his talks in Washington and Moscow on the faltering peace process with Israel, DPA reported.
Abbas’ visit to Egypt comes as Palestinian factions are bracing for a meeting hosted by Egypt to discuss proposals to de-escalate the situation in the Gaza Strip.
