The court also allowed JUH general secretary Maulana Mahmood Madani to continue his duties like before. Justice Ravinder Bhat of court no. 23 of Delhi High Court vacated the petition filed by Maulana Arshad Madani on 21st March, saying that JUH is not a registered society. On that petition, the court had ordered on 11th April that Maulana Mahmood Madani should not interfere in JUH affairs. That order has been annulled by Judge Ravinder Bhat. The court has fixed 21st May for hearing on remaining cases.

Talking to TwoCircles.net, Neyaz Ahmad Farooqui, secretary JUH, said Maulana Arshad Madani’s petition was based on false allegations. He disclosed that as Maulana Madani has already resigned from the post of JUH generally secretary, he will continue to work as member of the executive council.

Farooqui, however, is not much happy over the development. He said, “We cannot rejoice over the court ruling as a court case involving JUH itself is not good news for the organization and the entire Muslim community.”

Meanwhile, in another blow to Maulana Arshad Madani camp, the Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court asked the camp not to initiate fresh JUH elections in the state as the organization has already held its state election. It is learnt that Maulana Arshad Madani had issued fresh orders and formed a new election committee for Haryana, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh.

The crisis in the organization began on 6th March when its executive council passed a no-confidence motion against then-president Maulana Arshad Madani and appointed Qari Mohammad Usman, deputy rector, Darul Uloom Deoban, as acting president. Maulana Marghoobur Rahman made efforts to resolve the dispute but to no avail and the issue reached the court.
