The flat owner has told Chief Secretary A.K. Basu in a letter that Natarajan was not vacating the house although the lease expired six months ago.

Deepak Prasun, who owns the flat at Swagatam Apartments in Shukla colony here, said Natarajan took the house in July 2003 on lease for 33 months.

“I served notice two times to Natarajan (asking him) to vacate my flat. But ikt has not been vacated. After my notice Natarajan stopped (paying) rent and electricity bills. Please do the needful,” the letter says.

In August 2005 a television channel showed Natarajan in a compromising position with a tribal woman. The woman had alleged that she was sexually exploited by him.

When the issue was highlighted by the media, Natarajan was suspended. After remaining underground for eight months, he surrendered in a Ranchi court. He remained in jail for nearly three months.
