Those who considered the debut as head of State of the so called Vladimir Putin”s Dolfin, who proposed him as prime minister, a simple gesture of courtesy were wrong.

Ratification of that initiative by the parliament members guarantees that the new head of government remains as the most powerful man in the Euro-Asian country, having control, as leader of United Russia governing party, of over 70 percent of the legislators” votes.

From that position, he can continue the policy of diversifying economy and modernize defense by means of extensive introduction of technological innovation.

In line with the program designed by the Russian leader, in his first domestic trip after his inauguration, Medvedev visited the intercontinental missile Division 54, sited in Taikovo, the Ivanovo region.

With that action, he ratified the intention of continuing strengthening the Strategic Rocket Forces as the main factor of deterrence, faced with the NATO”s expansionism to Eastern Europe.

In the external arena, Medvedev will stress, starting on May 22, the strategic alliance among Moscow, Kazakhstan, and China during his first international tour as president.
