Damascus : Syrian Minister of Tourism Sa’adullah Agha al-Qala on Monday underlined his ministry’s commitment to boost cooperation with Turkey in all fields, particularly in tourism.
Agha al-Qala, meeting a delegation of the Turk Investment Company, headed by Sami Shan Turk, referred to an annual tourist activity held by the Ministry in cooperation with a number of Turkish companies, saying “This annual activity forms an opportunity to boost mutual tourist investment.”
Shan Turk, for his part, said his company is preparing studies to set up tourist projects in Syria, hailing the big development in Syria during the latest years which “gave a big momentum to attract tourist investments into the country.”
Agha al-Qala also reviewed with a delegation of the Middle East Company for Development, headed by Tarek Ben Laden, steps taken by the ministry to attract and encourage investment, showing readiness to offer facilities to the company to establish ‘Al-Nour Village Project’ which the company wants to fulfill with international specifications.
Tarek Ben Laden said his company will establish ‘Al-Nour Village Project on an area between 5 and 7 millions meters in Damascus Countryside, adding the project includes a resort, hotel with 20 floors, sport buildings, trade and entertainment centers and a medical academy.
