OIC Senior Officials’ Meeting concludes

Jeddah : The Senior Officials’ meeting preparatory to the 35th Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) concluded at the headquarters of OIC here yesterday. The meeting adopted a report that would be forwarded to the 35th Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers scheduled to take place in Kampala, the Ugandan capital, from 18 to 20 June 2008, according to an OIC statement.

It should be noted that the Senior Officials’ meeting had in the course of three days discussed draft resolutions on political affairs, issues of Muslim minorities in non-OIC Member States, legal and statutory affairs as well as information, administrative and financial affairs, all of which were adopted at the closing session of the meeting. The Ugandan delegation showed a video cassette of ongoing preparations to host the participating delegations in the 35th Session of the CFM in Kampala. Another video was shown on financing funds and OIC humanitarian projects in Niger, Sierra Leone, Indonesia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Afghanistan.
