New Delhi : Indian Renewable Energy Minister Vilas Muttemwar ratified Friday his country’s willingness of developing that sphere in Cuba, currently immersed in renewing energy sources.
Muttemwar said that after welcoming Cuban Deputy Foreign Trade Minister Eduardo Escandell, who is visiting India leading an extensive business people delegation from the island.
Both officials reviewed bilateral relations, which were termed magnificent, while Muttemwar expressed his interest of shortly visiting Cuba to foster exchange in that important sphere.
Escandell, on the other hand, was also interested that Indian companies participate in the development of energy systems in the island, particular those of renewable sources.
The Cuban deputy minister and his accompanying delegation attended a managerial forum at the Indian Chamber of Commerce PDH, whose English abbreviation is Progress, Development and Harmony.
PDH president L.K. Malhotra exhorted participants in the meeting to focus efforts to overcome geographic distance, difference of language and lack of knowledge and information.
The plenary session was used so that Indian PDH-affiliated business people exchange with Cuban colleagues, and could learn common interests and create bases for future businesses.
The Cuban managerial group will travel this weekend to Mumbai, the country’s main economic center, to develop a working program aimed at fostering trade links and investment.
