Man shoots supervisor, self

Lucknow : A canteen employee Saturday shot dead a cinema hall supervisor and then shot himself following an altercation over the canteen’s rent payment in Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly district, said the police.

“Canteen employee at the Prasad cinema hall, Shushil Kumar Singh, had a verbal duel with cinema hall supervisor Pradeep Kumar, when the latter demanded that he clear the outstanding payment bills for the allotted canteen. Singh, who was not regular in depositing rent, got agitated and fired at Kumar, who died on the spot,” Bareilly Superintendent of Police (crime) Rajesh Krishna told IANS.

Then, Singh shot himself dead with the same pistol, the police said. Bareilly is about 250 km from here.
