Jeddah : Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud held talks at his palace here with Egyptian President Mohammed Hosni Mubarak.
During the talks Sunday, they discussed aspects of cooperation between the two brotherly countries, ways of their enhancement in various fields and overall events and developments at Arab, regional and international levels particularly the developments of the Palestinian cause, the situation in Iraq and Lebanon and the stand of the two countries towards such issues.
On the Saudi side, the session was attended by Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior; Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Mecca Region; Prince Miqren bin Abdulaziz, Chief of General Intelligence; Prince Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Secretary-General of National Security Council; and Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Hisham Mohieddin Nazer.
On the Egyptian side, it was attended by Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul Gheit; Chief of General Intelligence Omar Suleiman; Chief of the President’s Court Dr Zakaria Azmi; Egyptian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Mohammed Abdulhamid Qassim; and Secretary to the President for Information and Follow-up Ambassador Suleiman Awwad.
