Chennai : A criminal case has been registerd against 11 people after a mob ransacked the Tamil Nadu Basketball Association’s premises Saturday, police said.
A.N. Dhyaneshwaran, a former Indian Administrative Service official, filed a complaint citing an attack on the TNBA premises by a group led by expelled members. The matter is being probed, police commissioner R. Sekar told IANS.
TNBA insiders said an ongoing dispute between actor-turned politician Napoleon (a former DMK legislator) and Dhyaneshwaran is reason between the altercation. A case is also pending in the Madras High Court.
No arrests have been made so far.
