The firm, which also deals in film production, public relations and advertising, said its vice chairman and managing director was acquitted along with his two colleagues, who were held June 6 by authorities at Dubai airport for allegedly carrying the drug.

"Singh has been released by the Dubai authorities on Monday after due process of the law. Two of his colleagues were also honourably released on the same day," the statement said.

The statement quoted Singh's counsel Ali Abdullah Al Shamsi in Dubai as saying, "The case against my three clients has been closed, all their charges have been withdrawn and they are free. They are free to travel to Dubai as per their needs and continue with their UAE business interests."

Following his release, Singh said: "We had complete faith in the judiciary system all along. I am happy that the truth has finally prevailed and our innocence was proven."

Singh's company has produced films like "Corporate", "Pyar Mein Twist", "Pyar Mein Kabhi Kabhi", "Traffic Signal", "MP3" and "Dor".
