Shimla : The Himachal Pradesh government Monday announced it would recruit 210 doctors to enhance the state-run medical services.
At a meeting of the state cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, it was decided to fill 210 posts of medical officers, including 10 dental doctors, in the health and family welfare department.
The cabinet also decided to adopt a new policy for the empanelment of hospitals and diagnostic laboratories within and outside the state for diagnosis and treatment of the government employees.
To make the posting of rural areas lucrative, the cabinet has decided to increase the allowances of the medical officers.
