Kabul : A roadside bombing killed three policemen and injured two in central Afghanistan early Sunday, said district chief Hajji Mohammad Aslam.
A remote-controlled bomb targeted a police van protecting a road construction company at 7:30 a.m. in the Muqar district of Ghazni province, said Aslam.
The police van was totally destroyed, he added.
The construction company was building the road connecting Muqar to the eastern Paktika province.
No groups or individuals have claimed responsibility.
Due to rising Taliban-linked insurgency, over 1,100 persons, mostly Taliban rebels, have been killed in Afghanistan this year.
