Iraq Blasts Kill Two

Baghdad : At least two people died and eleven others were wounded by bomb blasts in downtown Baghdad, confirming the increase of rebel actions, the Iraqi Interior Ministry confirmed Saturday.

Violent acts, in the areas surrounding the capital and other parts of the occupied Arab country, have increased despites the military program implemented by Iraqi authorities and US advisors against rebel groups.

According to a police report the explosion of a car bomb yesterday near the Al Yarmouk hospital complex in the west of the capital, killed five and wounded a dozen.

Most of the hospital facility was destroyed, as well as neraby shops and houses, noted the document.

The number of US soldiers killed in Iraq has reached 4,110, raising Washington’s concern.
