Baghdad : The curfew on Baghdad was lifted at 5 pm local time, except for Kathimiya city, said spokesman for Baghdad Operations Command Major General Qassem Attah.
Speaking at a press conference in Kathimiya city Tuesday, Attah affirmed the curfew on all types of vehicles was lifted except for Kathimiya city, adding that the curfew on the city would be lifted later.
Curfew was imposed on Kathimiya Monday due to three explosions which led to the death of 26 people and the injury of about 95 others.
Several Shiite citizens are heading to Kathimiya to mark the death of Imam Moussa Al-Kadhim.
