Bhopal: On the occasion of HRD Day held the other day at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited,(BHEL), Bhopal unit, HRD Council meet was organised in IFX conference hall by HRD team of BHEL, Bhopal. R. K.Singh, Executive Director, BHEL-Bhopal presided over the meet. Eminent author Vijay Agrawal graced the function as guest speaker.
Later on, a cultural programme was organized in the evening at BHEL cultural hall. Singh, M. K. Dube, General Manager (Hydro), G. D. Verma, General Manager (HR), U. Chatterjee, General Manager (Quality) inaugurated the cultural evening by lighting the lamp.
R. K. Singh congratulated the HRD fraternity on the occasion of HRD Day and lauded the various new initiatives taken by the HRD team. He shared his views on success, leadership and spirituality as a core strength to enhance organisational effectiveness. Highlighting the Boss–Subordinate relationship in today’s atmosphere, he stressed on the need to develop traditional “Guru-Shishya parampara”. He said that only this can take the organization, society and country to new greater heights.
Agrawal shared from his latest book “Sada Safal Hanuman”, the management techniques which made “Hanuman” always successful. He told the august gathering of General Managers and Additional General Managers that proper balancing of “Buddhi, Vivek and Vigyan” gives an individual the power to take right decision at the right moment.
G. D. Verma, GM(HR),also addressed the gathering and appraised of the various activities of HRD centre.
At the outset P. K. Goyal, AGM (HRD) gave a presentation on “Paradigm shift in HRD Centre” highlighting the strategies adopted by HRD centre of BHEL-Bhopal and the roadmap for the department for coming 5 years. Vipin Minocha, DGM (BEX) gave a presentation on organisational values. A vote of thanks was proposed by H. R. Puri (AGM-HRD).
In the cultural programme, Padmashri B. L. Chouksey welcomed the guests. R. K. Singh was also felicitated with shawl and “shrifal” (coconut) for his new initiatives. ([email protected])
