Beijing : Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili said here Thursday that he held constructive and positive talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi.
Jalili, who is Iran’s top nuclear negotiator, told IRNA in Beijing that the Chinese side welcomed the current cooperation between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency.
According to Jalili, Jiechi expressed hope that in light of such cooperation and resuming negotiations, Iran’s nuclear case will be solved through peaceful means.
The two officials also conferred on issues of mutual interests, he added.
He said that bilateral relations particularly in energy sector was one of main subjects of their discussion, and that they also underlined the need for removing obstacles in the way of mutual cooperation.
