Implementation of Misra Report is essential for development of Muslims: speakers

Patna: “It is responsibility of government to treat all the citizens equally and provide justice to all irrespective of their religions and casts. Minorities especially Muslims are in very dismiss condition because they have been deprived from their constitutional rights. Therefore, we should think upon how much government is sincere to give minorities their rights enshrined in India constitutions” said famous Islamic scholar and rector of Jamea-tul-Hidaya, Jaipur, Maulana Fazlurrahim Mojuddidi.

He was speaking at a symposium on ‘Rights of Minorities: Problems and Future’ held on 18th December 2009 in Faculty of Theology of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).

Den Faculty of Theology Professor Sauood Alam Qasmi said that Minorities should take benefits from the welfare schemes and adopt constructive manner rather to be worried or sit idly.

“Muslims should strengthen their social, economical and religious power and majority communities should come forward to help them accepting the fact that country cannot progress neglecting the minorities” he added.

In his speech Dr. Shakeel Samdani of Law Faculty at AMU said: “If Ranganath Misra Commission Report would be implemented, it will open the door of development for Muslims as well as other Minorities.

Demanding fair implementation of Ranganath Mishra Commission recommendations, Dr. Mohibbul Haque said: “The progress of Muslims community is impossible without giving them reservation in education and jobs. For that implementation of Mihra Report is essential.”

The program which was organized to mark ‘Minorities Rights Day’ on 18 December was also addressed by Professor Shamim Ahmad, Professor Mohammad Gulrez, Dr. Tauqeer Alam Flahi, Dr. Shahid, Father Jorge Pal, Mrs. Qaisar Habeeb and others.
