Laurels brought to AMU by its law students of 1969 batch

Aligarh: The 1969 batch of LLM at Aligarh Muslim University had only six students. Over the time all of them have brought laurels to the university in different capacities. Two became district judge, three were appointed as vice chancellor of different universities and one became professor of law.

Naseem Ahmad and M. Anis Ansari qualified Indian Civil Service. Riaz Punjabi and Madan Gopal Sharma became a teacher of law at the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University, Agra respectively. Hansraj Singh and Nepal Singh of the same batch retired from the post of District Judge.

Naseem Ahmad was first to be appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University. Later, Prof. Riyaz Punjabi was stinted as the Vice Chancellor of Kashmir University, Srinagar and now Mr. M.Anis Ansari is third to be appointed the founding Vice Chancellor of Uttar Pradesh Urdu, Arabic, Persian University, Lucknow.
