Campus Front to hold state-level rally in Kerala

Kozhikode: The Kerala state committee of the Campus Front of India has decided to hold a state-level rally for ‘an alternative politics’. The rally will begin from Hosankadi in Kasargode on January 3, 2011, with the slogan ‘Today’s classroom tomorrow’s nation’.

The Campus Front has come up raising the alternative politics of students at a time when student politics has become mechanical and has been highly politicized, said Ajmal Ismail, president of the organisation.

Mr Ajmal said that the Campus Front rally aims to convey the message of a student politics which has its own basis. The role of students is unavoidable in the formation of the nation. Students have the responsibility to lead through the right way our nation which is being endangered by corruption, communalism and imperialism. The rally is being conducted raising the message that the student appraisals of yore which fought against the wrong, injustice and invasion are not just to be remembered but also to be repeated, he added.

A musical by the ‘Athijeevana Kalasangham’ and a street play based on the topic ‘those who did not die even after killing’ will be presented in the rally. A committee was formed to ensure the success of the rally with K Shameer as co-coordinator and KS Shaan as assistant coordinator. Campus Front president Ajmal Ismail presided over the state committee meeting held in Kozhikode. CA Raoof (general secretary), CP Jafar, MS Sajid, Luqman, KM Nishad and K Jafar spoke.
