‘The police personnel shown in the media footage going crazy while firing indiscriminately on people democratically agitating must be immediately suspended’ demanded AIUDF president and MP Maulana Badruddin Ajmal.

He said that it is a matter of surprise that the present state government, which came to power with huge minority votes, is so slow in providing justice to the minority.

‘We were hoping that the state government besides giving compensation to the victim families would take adequate actions against the culprits. But to our shock, 15 days have passed but no concrete action has been taken by the state government and the victim families had to rush to Delhi for justice’ said Ajmal.

He also said, ‘the firing was open violation of citizen’s rights and the government must deal with it seriously’.

Four people were killed including a 6-month infant and a pregnant woman while many others injured in the police firing on June 3 in Bhajanpur village of Forbesganj in Araria district of Bihar. The incident took place when villagers were protesting against blocking of their road by an upcoming glucose factory.
