AMU students participate in international energy summit in Norway

    Aligarh: Four students of the Aligarh Muslim University participated in the ‘International Student Energy Summit (ISES) 2013’ held at Trondheim, Norway. Syed Raza Quadri, Mohammad Atif Aleem, Omar Bashir Wani and Fahad Zeeshan Khan from Z.H. College of Engineering and Technology actively participated in the Conference.

    Omar Bashir Wani participated in ‘Energy for All session’ while Mohammad Atif Aleem was shortlisted amongst 30 students from all parts of the world to participate in the Statkraft Case Competition where he prepared a case for UK’s Energy Scenario in the next 50 years and secured a place among top 6.

    Fahad Zeeshan Khan and Mohammad Atif Aleem also won the Lomborg Delegate Pass, which was funded by Prof. Bjørn Lomborg, who is the director of the Copenhagen Consensus Centre and a former director of the Environmental Assessment Institute in Copenhagen.



    The AMU students met various erudite professors, company representatives and diverse student community from across the globe and discussed various aspects of Renewable Energy, Sustainability and Climate Change.
