‘Babri mosque’s legal battle will continue; central ministers are sowing hatred in the country’

Ludhiana: On the occasion of 22nd anniversary of demolition of Babri Mosque, All India Majlis Ahrar Islam Hind today organized a moaning conference here which was presided over by Punjab Shahi Imam Maulana Habibur Rahman Sani Ludhiyanvi. The conference issued unanimous condemnation and tendered dissatisfaction over the demolition of Babri Mosque on December 6th 1992.

Addressing the press conference Shahi imam said, “22 years ago communal forces had taken down the structure of Babri Mosque and thereby had violated the Indian constitution and judiciary.”

Terming the incidence to be a day written in black words in the history, he expressed full resolve to continue the legal battle before court of law and to rebuild Babri mosque.

“Demolition of mosque does not erase the existence of the mosque and therefore we will continue our struggle to rebuild the structure before the court. Today’s Muslim is much more aware of his legal rights and to defend Babri mosque is our right which we would continue to raise before court and no communal force can sideline us”, he said.

Talking about the Narendra Modi government, he said, “Some ministers in Modi government are using communal language and in a way are sowing hatred in the country. Latest comments of Sadhvi Niranjana Jyoti give us feeling that the central government is wishing to rule with dictatorship”.

Affirming belief in the secularism of the country, Shahi imam said, “We are a secular country and hence every responsible person must respect religious beliefs of other citizens. Such communal statements, which come from union minister, although condemnable but can in no way threaten minority in the country”.

The conference was attended by many of the members of All India Majlis Ahrar Islam Hind along with Shahi imam Punjab’s Secretary Muhammad Mustaqeem.
