New Delhi: More than 30 organizations put up a united demonstration at Jantar Mantar on the 22nd anniversary of Babri Masjid demolition on Saturday, December 6.
The united demonstration march began from Mandi House that culminated at Jantar Mantar, where representatives of several organizations and other civil rights activists spoke for justice. The speakers termed the demolition as a blot on the face of the country and attack on the democratic values of the country, its constitution and communal harmony.
In collaboration with 30 organizations including several left affiliated groups, Jamaat e Islami, Association for Protection Civil Rights, Welfare Party of India, Lok Raj Sangathan had organized the event.
The high point of the demonstration was that it comprised members of all communities, including Hindus, Sikhs, and Christians, besides Muslims.
Protesters, majority of whom were youth, and a large number of them women voiced their anger and demanded that the culprits found guilty by the Librahan Commission must be brought to justice.

One of the protesters who belong to Sikh Community raised his concern while speaking to TwoCircles.net. Jaspal Singh of Akali Takht said that it is an act against humanity and not any single religion.
Referring to the several plots of terror or atrocities against people of other faiths carried by different Hindutva organizations, he added, “They attack on Grudwara, Church and masjid and claim that only Hindu can live in this country which is absurd”.
Representing Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, at the event, Jamaat’s Secretary Mohammad Ahmed and Assistant Secretary Intezar Naeem addressed the massive gathering.
Mohammad Ahmad began with the demand to implent and enforce the Librahan Commission report and asked the government if they don’t have any intention to implement the report then why they set the commission.
