Maulana Zubair, Ameer of Tablighi Jamaat passes away

New Delh: Maulana Zubair Hasan, the Amir of Tablighi Jamat worldwide Muslim reform movement that originated from India, passed away today. He was in ICU for last few weeks in New Delhi.

He was elected Amir or chief of Tablighi Jamat after the death of previous Amir and his father Maulana Inamul Hasan.



Maulana Zubair used to attend all Tablighi gatherings and was famous for his duas.. He also used to teach at Madrasa Kashif-ul-Uloom attached to Banglewali Masjid in Nizamuddin Basti, the head quarters or markaz of Tablighi Jamaat.

K Rahman Khan the Union Minister for Minority Affairs has expressed grief over the demise of Maulana Zubair Hasan.

In his message the Minister said, “Maulana proved himself true to the standards as set out by the seniors of the movement. During last two decades, Maulana has strengthened the movement enormously by his hard work, dedication for the movement and knowledge. May God grant peace to the departed soul and provide us an opportunity to follow the path shown by him. Amen!”
