However, police stopped them on way and detained 20 demonstrators, including three women, in south Delhi.

Tibetans were detained Thursday as well after they staged a demonstration at Hyderabad House in central Delhi where Xi held talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

They had also staged a demonstration at Majnu-ka-Tilla, a Tibetan colony in the national capital.

To block any further protest against Xi, Delhi Police have deployed personnel in many areas, especially near Majnu-ka-Tilla.

A police officer said that the security personnel will be deployed till Friday noon when the Chinese president is scheduled to fly back to his country.

Xi is on a three-day official visit to India and will depart later in the day.
