Police said that he had boarded a train for Jharkhand from New Delhi railway station a few hours after killing his employer Shanti Chopra at her house in Paharganj area in central Delhi on Wednesday evening.

“Chopra had hired the juvenile as a domestic help a week ago. She used to live along with her two sons but she was alone at the time of the incident,” a police official said.

Victim’s maternal grandson Shivam, who had come to meet her, informed police after finding her body in a pool of blood.

The official said that the juvenile, who hails from Gumla in Jharkhand, had noticed huge amount of cash in the almirah of the victim on August 20 and made a robbery plan.
