Petrol, diesel price hiked

New Delhi : Transport fuel prices were hiked effective Friday by Rs.3.96 per litre for petrol and by Rs.2.37 a litre for diesel, including state levies, in Delhi, following hardening of international crude oil rates and depreciation of the rupee against the dollar.

Rates were last cut by 80 paise per litre on petrol and Rs.1.30 a litre on diesel from April 16, while the increase in rates on this scheduled revision of the month follows global price trends, Indian Oil said.
