“The social status of minorities is caught in a vicious circles as the RSS along with other Sangh outfits with extreme political and communal views are preying the minorities. Disseminating the message of communal hatred nationwide campaigns are on against Muslims and other communities in the country. With the Modi government came to power in the capital the number of violence against the minority has remarkably gone up,” Basheer said.

Speaking on how the Muslims and their educational institutions are targeted the party national secretary said hate campaigns were taken up by Sangh outfits against the Madrasas. ”These hate campaigns demonise the community saying Madrasas are disseminating extremism,” he added.

Meanwhile, the party has decided to observe the birthdays of late leaders G M Banathwala, former MP and national president of the party and Mohammed Ali Shihab, former Kerala state president with various programmes, meant for social goodness.

The former’s birthday will be observed as the Sharia Protection Day while the latter’s as Religious Harmony Day.
