We will confront economic crisis head on: Obama

Chicago : Surrounded by his economic advisers at his first news conference since election, US President-elect Barack Obama Friday promised to address the current economic crisis urgently and called for a rescue plan for the middle class.

“We are facing the greatest economic challenge of the life time,” Obama said and promised,” We will confront the crisis head on.”

Stressing that he would develop a strong policy to address the middle class, he said: “My goal is to provide tax relief. 95 percent of Americans will get tax cut under my plan.”
