Dental Surgery course at Jamia Millia draws huge rush

New Delhi: The Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course at Jamia Millia Islamia has drawn a huge number of applications for the session starting 2010-11. For the 50 seats on offer by the Faculty of Dentistry, the University has received 4355 application forms.

The BDS course was started by the University in 2009 and this is the second year running for the BDS program in the University.

BDS is a 5-year-course and the admission to the course is made on the basis of merit determined by an Entrance Test. The Entrance Test is scheduled to be held on the 30thMay, 2010.

The Entrance Test will be held for the first time outside Delhi/NCR in places such as Guwahati, Lucknow and Srinagar for the BDS program. The results of selected candidates will be declared on 8 June 2010.

Jamia Millia Islamia is a Central University with 9 Faculties, 17 research centres, 231 programmes with 20,000 students. The University was established in 1920.
