Islamabad : Security forces destroyed several militant hideouts in Pakistan’s restive tribal region Saturday, killing 10 insurgents, an official said.
Fighter jets targeted remnants of the Pakistani Taliban in the Orakzai region, Dawn quoted Samiullah Khan, a local administrator, as saying.
He said some militants were also wounded in the attacks.
Pakistan launched an operation in Orakzai in mid-March against militants who fled last year from an army offensive in the South Waziristan tribal region.
