Mumbai : Chandigarh Lions will face Delhi Jets in the opening match of the Indian Cricket League’s (ICL) inaugural Twenty20 cricket tournament starting Nov 30 in Panchkula.
The matches will be played at Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex, Sector 3, with the final slated for Dec 16.
Six teams — Mumbai Champs, Kolkata Tigers, Delhi Jets, Chennai Superstars, Chandigarh Lions and Hyderabad Heroes — that include fresh cricket talent from various corners of India along with seasoned international players, will be playing against one another.
Commenting on the announcement, Kapil Dev, chairman of ICL’s executive board, said: “The match schedule we have announced offers cricket fans great excitement on all days, starting Nov 30. We look forward to seeing some fantastic cricket action by the combined pool of some of the best players in the world and fresh cricketing talent in India.”
