“Everything will go on within the framework of the Safeguards Agreement and on the basis of mutual agreement,” deputy head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization (IAEO), Mohammad Saeedi told the news agency.

Tehran will continue with high-level cooperation with the UN nuclear watchdog, he added.

IAEO chief Reza Aqazadeh last Thursday had met IAEA Director-General Mohammed Mohamed ElBaradei in camera following the Geneva meeting of July 19 on Iran’s nuclear issue to discuss the outcome of the Tehran’s talks with the five veto powers plus Germany in the Swiss capital.

The July 19 meeting between Iran’s nuclear chief Saeed Jalili and European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana was the first after the veto powers offered Tehran a package of incentives in exchange of an undertaking that the Islamic republic would suspend its uranium enrichment activities.

The US Undersecretary of State William Burns, the third-highest US diplomat, was also present in the meeting in a major shift from a longstanding US policy.

Iranian leaders have claimed talks over its controversial nuclear issue is making significant progress.
