Expressing solidarity to the strike called by the committee, court staffs across the country said they would halt works for an indefinite period to protest ‘unjustified’ transfer of three courts staffs and financial irregularities in courts of law.

Saying that the Supreme Court had ordered the transfer of the three court staffs including CECC chairman Binod Adhikari for raising their voices against the financial irregularity in a project related to computerisation of courts, the Supreme Court and Patan Appellate Court staffs had halted works on Sunday as well.

Following the strike called by the CECC normal business in all the courts around the country including the Supreme Court has been affected as the court staffers have refused to resume their work until the transfer orders are withdrawn and Supreme Court registrar Ram Krishnna Timilsina resigns.

CECC chairman Adhikari said they had no option but to announce the indefinite strike as the SC has failed to heed their demands.
