Pakistan and India to release 248 prisoners

Islamabad : Pakistan and India have agreed to release 248 prisoners on the eve of their respective Independence Days (August 14 and 15), officials said.
Pakistan will release 113 while India will set free 133 prisoners.

Forty-eight Pakistani prisoners are fishermen. Thirty-three Indian prisoners were civilians while 100 are fishermen.

After the release of 248 prisoners, there will still be 822 prisoners in the jails of two countries.
