Talking to reporters, he referred to meetings held between secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), Ali Larijani, Director of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Mohamed ElBaradei and the EU foreign policy chief, Javier Solana, and urged all other parties not to create obstacles in the way of the talks.

Answering a question on whether another probable statement by the UN Security Council would have an impact on Iran-IAEA cooperation, he said such a statement would certainly affect the previous bilateral cooperation.

On the next Larijani-Solana meeting, Hosseini said the date of the talks has not been fixed yet.

Hosseini further announced that foreign ministers of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) member states will hold a meeting on September 3-4 on ‘human rights and cultural diversity’ in Tehran.
