Rashtraya Janata Dal MPs disrupted the proceedings over the Bhagalpur incident, where a youth was thrashed by a mob for allegedly snatching a woman’s gold chain Monday. Then two policemen dragged the alleged snatcher by a motorcycle through a rough road.

The situation in the Bihar town worsened Tuesday as an angry crowd threw stones at a police station.

Meanwhile, the violence in Agra also added to the chaos in the Lok Sabha as Samajwadi Party members ran to the well to raise the issue Wednesday.

The city of the Taj has been put under curfew after a mob attacked police posts, burnt dozens of vehicles and clashed with police. They were protesting the killing of four youths, part of a Muslim festive procession, who were mowed down by a speeding truck.

The Lok Sabha was to discuss an adjournment motion by opposition over government’s failure to prevent the Hyderabad blasts last Saturday.
