Madrid : Kazakhstan’s application for chairing the OSCE has been accepted with the Republic to chair the European Organisation in 2010. The respective decision which signifies the high international authority of Kazakhstan and its leader President Nursultan Nazarbayev was voiced at the 15th meeting of the Ministerial Council of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe in Madrid.
Leaders of the CIS states and those from Central Asia have labeled Kazakhstan’s victory as a breakthrough in the country’s development.
Now, Kazakhstan has become the first CIS and Central Asian state to chair the OSCE.
