“We will organise a big rally here Saturday and we hope that thousands of party workers and others would attend it from all over the state,” Rajasthan’s Parliamentary Minister Rajendra Singh Rathore said.

“Besides this, an exhibition depicting the achievements of four years of Raje government is being organised.”

“Chief Minister Raje is expected to inaugurate a number of projects Saturday,” Rathore added.

The rally is seen as a platform for the BJP to show its strength in this desert state where assembly elections are only 11 months away.

Preparations for the rally are already under way at a fast pace.

At a meeting Chief Minister Raje chaired at her residence Thursday, several of the issues relating to rally were discussed and some decisions were taken to make rally successful.

It was decided to engage over 14,000 buses and other vehicles to bring people from the remote areas of the state to join this mega rally.

Meanwhile, the opposition Congress has decided to organise dharnas and a protest march Saturday.

“We will hold dharnas all over the state in protest against the corruption and anti-people policies of the Raje government”, said C.P. Joshi, Rajasthan president of the Congress party.
