Badr-Eddin said in a statement that the near future would witness a big jump in Egyptian-Algerian relations, particularly in the area of trade, commerce and cultural exchange.

Badr-Eddin also said that the volume of Egyptian investments in Algeria is currently up to USD four billion at a time when many Egyptian companies and Egyptian businessmen flock to Algeria.

He said that the remarkable rise in commercial and economic relations between the two countries reflects the attention of the political leadership of those two countries. That has recently led to the decision to raise the level of the Joint Commission between Egypt and Algeria to the summit level.

He noted that Egyptian Minister of Investment Mahmoud Mohieddin would pay a visit to Algeria in January accompanied by a large delegation of Egyptian businessmen.
