Kolkata : Gagan Verma Sunday continued his dream run when he ousted the much fancied and fourth seed Tarun Gogale 4 & 3 to reach the semi-finals of the Goodricke Eastern India Amateur, an event on the LG Indian Amateur Golf Tour, being played here at the Royal Calcutta Golf Club.
Gagan set up a semi-final clash with top seed Abhishek Jha who beat Vikram Rana 4 & 3.
In the other quarter-final clashes, Jasjeet Singh stayed on course for the title when he steamrolled Dulal Hussain 6 & 5 while Sri Lankan Mithun Perera won a hard fought battle against Samresh Sardar.
Gagan completely dominated his match against Tarun. Going 1-up by the sixth, he increased his lead to 2-up by the next and went 3-up by the 11th before taking an unassailable lead on the 13th to go through to the semis.
