Brasilia : After having been suspended for a minimum of 120 days for using an illegal substance, Romario, along with the legal experts of his club Vasco da Gama, is looking to revoke the Supreme Court of Sports Justice’s decision.

The player-coach was placed on suspension Dec 18. The illegal substance found in Romario’s blood stream was finasteroid, a drug commonly found in treatment for baldness.

Due to the holiday recess, the court will only open again in the New Year.

While Romario’s legal problems remain unsolved, the player turned coach is attempting to strengthen the team. Knowing that Cassio, the team’s current goalkeeper, is probably not going to receive a renewed contract, Romario hired Ricardo and Tiago to fill the position of goalie for Vasco in 2008.

Another uncertainty to return to Vasco is forward Andrade. Corinthians have been in contact with the player in hopes to build up their offence. Defensively, Vasco recently hired Jonilson to better their backfield.
