A commentary by Rodong Sinmun daily, organ of the Korean Workers’ Party, reads that the dialogue sets the grounds for a confrontation and is military choice to mentally disarm North Korea.

The publication recalled the US air force recently held maneuvers on the peninsula, and F A-18 and KC-130 planes based abroad were deployed.

The objective of those simulation drills was to attack land targets with air support, wage air combats, and carry out intensive attacks with combat formations.

Rodong Sinmun commented the mock attacks against North Korea cast doubts on whether or not Washington really wants to dialogue.

The two countries have been involved in the six-party talks on denuclearization of the Korean peninsula since 2003, and top ranking officials from the two sides held several meetings in recent months.

The commentary warns that Pyongyang is willing to respond to the dialogue with dialogue, but also to counteract force with force.
