Bangkok : At least 118 people have been killed and 1,254 injured in road accidents in the first two days of the weeklong New Year holidays in Thailand, the interior ministry said Sunday.
Nirand Jongwut, deputy secretary in the ministry, said that 1,147 road accidents happened on Friday and Saturday. Drunk driving was the major cause of the accidents.
