Shimla : A Himalayan valley in Himachal Pradesh has been thrown open to traffic from the rest of the country after being blocked due to heavy snow for eight long months, it was announced Monday.
Vehicles began moving Sunday on the 4,390-metre high Saach pass in Chamba district, 450 km from here, local official Jagdev Singh Pathania said. Trekkers and shepherds, however, had been using the pass since May.
