The Ulema and community leaders participating in the meeting expressed their deep resentment on the role of city police in the entire episode.

"It was only recently that the chief minister, while addressing a programme to distribute computer sets among the madrasas, had said that the Islamic seminaries of the State are radiating the light of knowledge and that there is no information about terrorist activities there. But contrary to this assertion, the city police is busy profiling the seminaries and those associated with them," they resolved.
