The team is led by Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan and includes leader of opposition and former chief minister Oommen Chandy as well as leaders from other political parties in the state.

"We will meet the prime minister at 6.30 p.m. today. The state assembly has passed a unanimous resolution recently that Kerala should get more facilities in development of railways," Chandy said.

Achuthanandan met all the MPs from the state last week and said the central government was not giving Kerala its due share in railway facilities.
